Arttu Palmio studied contemporary dance and choreography in Helsinki and Amsterdam before graduating with an MFA in visual arts from Geneva School of Art and Design. Palmio navigates between visual, performative and choreographic practices, using sound, moving image, text, movement and sound. Their works have been shown at Helmhaus Zürich; Hit, Genève; Centre d’art contemporain Genève; LiveInYourHead, Geneva; Théâtre Sévelin 36, Lausanne; Grimmuseum Berlin; Passagegallerie/brut wien. Palmio is a regular collaborator with Vienna based contemporary dance collective Liquid Loft since 2014. They live and work in Zürich, Switzerland.
